Dear Sponsors of The Blaine E. Smith, Sr., Scholarship Endowment Fund:
I want to thank you so very much for granting me with this scholarship.
This scholarship has strengthened my academic enthusiasm and has also
fermented my life long dream of becoming an educator. I believe that my
education and cooperative education experiences strongly coincide with
those believed of Mr. Blaine E. Smith, Sr.
Like Mr. Smith, I will also reach to the stars. With the up coming school
year, I have many goals that I plan to
accomplish. Last year, I founded a program called Project Help Them Grow.
This mentoring program in geared towards at risk male High School seniors.
Mentors will help these young men with the college application process,
SAT prep, general manly deeds and love for all mankind. I an extremely
passionate and dedicated to making a change in the lives of the youth
and my community. Again, I thank you for making an investment into my
future.
Please know that my appreciation runs deeper than a dollar amount. With
the acceptance of this scholarship, it has proven that my hard work has
been recognized and it has also goaded me to continue. I realize the very
hard task that lies ahead of me, but with individuals like you, I am confident
that our future and our future leaders will be prosperous. I look forward
